Spark up conversation with… Kirstie Wilson

Every month, a member of the Scriba team shares some insight into their role, as well as revealing some of the words – or phrases – that are meaningful to them. Next up, it’s PR account director, Kirstie Wilson

Which of Scriba’s B2B sectors do you enjoy working in most?

We’re starting off this Q&A with one of the hardest questions! There’s no one particular sector that I enjoy working in, but I do have a special interest in both tech and manufacturing, and especially love when those two worlds collide.

What’s your Scriba ‘specialism’?

I really relish the strategy side of PR and love a juicy big picture thinking session, bringing amazing ideas back round to our clients’ objectives and helping them achieve their goals.

Sum up Scriba in just one word

Spirited.

What’s the most recent word you learnt?

Naturumgebung – a recent ‘Word of the Week’ from the Scriba team. Want to know what it means? Check out this post.

Tell us how you got into PR in less than 50 words.

I started out in marketing and then moved to an integrated agency where I got the opportunity to learn some new PR skills – and from that moment, I was hooked.

What word do you always struggle to spell?

Similar. For some reason, I always want to add an extra ‘i’ after the ‘l’ and I have no idea why.

Which word or phrase would you like to put into Room 101?

Ultimately. I feel that it gets so overused, although I am very guilty of dropping it in conversation from time to time.

Share one power track which is the perfect way to start your day.

On My Way by Rusted Root. You might know it as the track from Matilda, in the scene where she dances around her house. It’s guaranteed to make you feel good.

Where would you spend a free day off work?

Hiking in the mountains with my dog, and maybe my husband if he’s on his best behaviour.

Which word would you hope your colleagues would use to describe you?

Indispensable (one would hope).
