Scriba scoops silver gong at Company Culture Awards

Last night, the Scriba team virtually assembled to attend the 2021 Company Culture Awards — as our chief word nerd, Katie Mallinson, was up for nomination in the ‘Leadership’ category.

The scheme aims to recognise and celebrate companies that truly care about and nurture their workforce, to create a workplace that goes beyond being “just an office space, even when remote”.

For the team here at Scriba HQ, it was a no-brainer to nominate our gaffer – who has always put company culture at the front and centre of the business, whether there’s been two or ten members of staff, and pandemic or no pandemic.

There was tough competition to fight off too, as Katie was up against nominees from Chain reaction, Bazaarvoice, Fullscript, and SoPro.

After a tense wait, the winners of the Leadership Award were announced, and our boss only went and claimed the silver medal!

We’re so proud of Katie and the amazing workplace she’s created – both physically and culturally – and while she may have been officially awarded second place, in our eyes she’s always got the gold.

When asked in our entry, why Katie should win the award, we think this sums it up perfectly:

“Not all heroes wear capes and that’s true for our leader who is still striving to help us even when battling her own health complications. Katie’s fought tooth and nail to maintain our vibe throughout an incredibly challenging year. We’re thriving thanks to Katie’s attitude, resilience and graft – we live and breathe Scriba’s values to ensure we’re a force to be reckoned with in the comms industry.”

A massive congratulations to all the other attendees and winners on the night, it was a great ceremony which showcased the innovative ways businesses are achieving workplace excellence.
