My work experience week at Scriba

What a wonderful week! And, perhaps one of the fastest weeks of my life – time really does fly when you’re having fun! It doesn’t seem like two minutes since I nervously walked into the office on my first day, heart beating quickly, breathing rapidly and no it wasn’t from climbing upstairs! I was equipped with optimism and enthusiasm, ready to embark on an exciting week of work experience— and it definitely exceeded all of my expectations and more.

I was given numerous exciting tasks throughout the week, which I threw myself into. From choosing the word o’ week for the next fifty-two weeks, along with being familiarised with the process of issuing a press release and trawling for coverage. I had the opportunity to explore the impressive portfolio of exciting clients which was highly insightful. Amid a collation task, I was in complete awe of the talented writers within the team. I was engrossed in one blog, then another, then another. I was in complete admiration; I hope one day I can emulate this level of work.

The most memorable moment of my time at Scriba was definitely drafting a blog for one of Scriba’s many technical clients. I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to express my creativity and get stuck into lots of research.

After graduating in 2020, with no idea of what I wanted to do – a degree in hand but no clue where I wanted to go next. In just one short week Scriba has equipped me with invaluable knowledge and spurred a passion I hope to pursue. It has truly opened my eyes to the exciting world of PR.

As a young woman who hopes to make her mark in the business world, working at Scriba has inspired me endlessly. I would like to thank each of you for teaching me – it has been invaluable. Being immersed in such a positive work environment, has been such a joy – this week has been remarkable!
