Last weekend, the Scriba team – plus partners – got together to make the move to our new office space!
Granted, it wasn’t far – 100 yards across the courtyard at Heritage – but lugging heavy desk chairs, storage units and our array of plants up and down several flights of stairs was certainly no mean feat.
But we did it – and our treat at the end of the day was a yummy visit to Pax in Lindley for a burger to celebrate.
Our new home will be the sixth space that Scriba has ‘lived in’, beginning in MD Katie’s house before moving to the Duke of York Young Entrepreneur Centre based at The University of Huddersfield, then up to Heritage Exchange in 2014.
The first space at the refurbished mill complex was big enough for just three people, and since then there have been two further internal moves to other spots – and now this!
It’s been fabulous to be a part of the team since 2015 and watch the fantastic growth, and I – along with all the other Scriba employees – am really excited for the latest chapter!
Now based on the top floor of the building in the main courtyard, the office has enough space for 12 members of staff, and also features separate meeting and ‘quiet’ rooms, enabling staff to step away from the vibrancy of the main office and work in a more peaceful environment, if required.
As well as the incredible views of Castle Hill and the surrounding landscape, a large feature wall also helps to bring the office to life. Provided and installed by a client and friend of the business – graphic display specialist Leach – the specially designed wallpaper features a huge typewriter with the letters for ‘Scriba’ highlighted in our trademark green.
After less than a week, it’s already taken shape incredibly, and truly is a beautiful place to work.
We’re excited to show our new HQ to clients, suppliers and friends, and we’re sure that you’ll love it as much as we do!
