TBB bolsters design team with senior hire

Integrated agency, The Bigger Boat, has bolstered its creative team with the appointment of senior designer, James Bornshin.

Boasting 12 years of industry experience – with over five in a senior design capacity – James has worked across positions in advertising and graphic design, tackling projects for brands in industries from FMCG to financial services.

Drawing upon his expertise in design, James will be responsible for bringing concepts to life through creative projects, while working closely alongside the agency’s creative director to expand the branding arm of the business.

Having cited branding as an area of passion and specialism, James is keen to be involved in all aspects of the process — from helping define the vision and tone of a business, to crafting the brand identity and unveiling the finished article.

A strategic hire for TBB, James’s appointment aids the company as it strives to take its growth to the next level — kickstarting ambitions to recruit a further three staff and grow revenue to reach £1.8m by 2023.

Of the responsibilities involved in his new role, James comments: “There’s huge potential for TBB and it’s an exciting time to join the team. The culture here is second to none, we all have one another’s backs and are pushing towards the same goals.

“The ambition and direction from leadership is inspiring — I’m looking forward to growing alongside the business as it embarks on this next, exciting phase.”

Of the key role that James will play in the company’s evolution, Doug Main, creative director at TBB, said: “James’s appointment is a pivotal step in our plan to evolve the branding element of our business. With his wealth of expertise, we can begin to collaborate more effectively and focus our attention on pursuing some of the exciting opportunities that have been ticking away in the background.”

Established in 2010, The Bigger Boat is a 21-strong agency based in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, working for B2B and B2C brands including Little Tikes, Celloglas, Deuren and Govox.
