Squeeky Laundry sees 90% success rate on linen processed with Regenex ‘magic’
A total of 3000kg of bedding, towels and tableware has been processed so far for the Wiltshire-based business in three consignments.
Claire Nicholas, managing director, of Squeeky, said: “The team at Regenex have really been working their magic on our stock! By bringing these items back into action, Regenex has saved us thousands of pounds and a lot of carbon as well.
“This is especially timely, given our rising costs, including energy bills. Due to an upturn in enquiries for new business, we are in need of more linen and towels and this is a great way to boost our stocks.”
Claire continued: “I’m a total advocate of the Regenex process and I will shout from the rooftops that other laundries should consider this option too, over throwing good items away, or giving them to the rag man.”
In Squeeky’s latest batch of marked linen received by Regenex, 90.6% was passed as commercially reusable – in total, 897kg of 990kg that would otherwise have been condemned. This follows an 80% return on the previous consignment.
Regenex’s technical director, Paul Hamilton, said: “This represents a good financial outcome for Squeeky – and most certainly a very good environmental benefit to this laundry. We’re delighted to be working together with this innovative and forward-thinking customer.”
Voted SME laundry of the year at the LADAs in 2020, Squeeky is headquartered in Chippenham and provides linen hire and commercial laundry services in North and West Wiltshire, Swindon, Gloucester, Bath, and surrounding areas. The company is a member of the National Laundry Group and Textile Services Association.
