Unparalleled media coverage makes inaugural tech event a success
Scriba PR was top of the list to act as PR partner for the brand new event TechTrade Yorkshire, following a recommendation based on the firms’ renowned expertise in the tech sector. The Mooncas team, headed by founder Chrissie Gale, were all set to deliver another of their outstanding one-day events, but needed the PR expertise of a niche comms specialist to help draw in the delegates, particularly as this was the first event of its kind.
Speaking of her initial impression of Scriba, Chrissie said:
Katie impressed me with her professionalism, and her insight and knowledge of the tech sector immediately grabbed my attention. I knew Scriba was up to the job.
Included in the PR for the event, Scriba :-
- wrote and issued four press releases, which generated vast pre-event coverage reaching an audience of 1,134,738;
- raised the profile of Chrissie Gale via regional Q&As;
- suggested and manned Mooncas’ first ‘press room’, a central hub of social activity, filming and journalist interviews with key speakers and exhibitors.
Scriba was required to raise the profile of the event, to help ensure the target number of delegates was reached in this crucial first year. The unparalleled amount of coverage received and the delegate numbers in attendance for the duration of the day, speaks volumes about the campaign’s success. The buzz is already growing about next year’s event with the majority of exhibitors already considering their 2017 stand booking.
The Scriba team were superbly efficient and organised both in the lead-up to the event and on the day itself. They kept me up to date at all times and I have never had as much coverage for an event – I felt spoilt!
