Team members from Cascade HR software

Innovation means new products for Cascade at HRSS

It’s another year of innovation for renowned Human Resources and payroll technology specialist Cascade HR, as they prepare for the CIPD’s HR Software Show 2016.

A 20-strong Cascade team will head to Olympia London on 15-16 June, to showcase the latest developments from the award-winning firm.

In light of recent legislative changes, there’s fresh functionality to help clients tackle the complexities surrounding average holiday pay, for instance. Whilst the software has long included self-service holiday requests, annual leave entitlement profiles and analysis reporting, Cascade is now further enhanced by a number of tools designed specifically to streamline the new calculations and ensure compliance.

Users can tailor how they record and determine average holiday pay, the much-debated reference period can be adjusted, and different rules can be applied to different occupational pay schemes. Further functionality lies in Cascade’s payroll integration for added efficiency and accuracy.

But the team hasn’t just been busy with compliance-driven features.

Whilst much is being kept under wraps at present, HRSS delegates will get an exclusive preview of upcoming enhancements to Cascade’s fully-integrated recruitment functionality. A new look mobile app is also set to be revealed, with a fresh and more engaging interface that will improve the user experience as organisations strive to heighten employee engagement through self-service.

And, following the recent acquisition of Octopus HR, delegates will also be able to enjoy a demo of the newly-branded Cascade Go product, a cloud-based solution perfect for micro businesses up to SMEs with 100 employees.

Commenting on what’s on offer, CEO Oliver Shaw commented:  “Together, Cascade HR and Cascade Go – both part of IRIS Human Capital Management – mean we can satisfy any HR and payroll brief in the marketplace.  Whether we’re talking to a delegate from a microbusiness, or one from a multinational with 10,000 employees or more, we can carefully assess their requirements before advising the best fit solution for their needs.”

Following an extremely busy 2015 show, Cascade has incorporated extra demo pods into the new-look 2016 stand, ensuring the team can deliver free, tailored demonstrations to all attendees, with no appointment necessary.

In the seminar theatre – adjacent to Cascade’s stand H150 – client Randstad will take to the stage for a practical advice-led session entitled Top tips to tackle HR analytics without the headache. As a result of savvier reporting, Randstad has experienced a 5% decrease in labour turnover, an 18% rise in billing performance for new starters, and a 25% uplift in L&D spending due to the team’s ability to prove the ROI that would be generated.

Outlining how to get maximum value from the metrics that HR and payroll technology can produce, Randstad therefore aims to power more effective decision making within HR teams and beyond, to drive bottom line business outcomes throughout the industry. A free reporting white paper will be available for all attendees, to encourage the use of meaningful metrics perhaps already at their fingertips. Cascade will also be on hand to talk about the best practice reporting packs that the team is also set to launch for clients.

Offering some concluding thoughts, Oliver said: “This year is all about revealing ever smarter tech that will further streamline the way our clients work. We’re continuing to give HR and payroll teams the tools to overcome any administrative burdens they’ve been experiencing to date. This will increasingly empower them to be more proactive, strategic thinkers that contribute more significantly to their organisations’ bottom lines and drive employee engagement. Our newest features – and the welcoming of a completely new product, Cascade Go – are a testament to this ethos.”

Entry to the exhibition and seminars is free, but fast-track pre-registration is advised.
