Lancashire-headquartered Central Networks and Technologies is an IT services and support specialist that aims to restore organisations’ faith in IT. The family-owned firm has a large customer base – with many of its clients in the social housing, charity, and manufacturing sectors. Central’s purpose is to make IT stress free, by keeping it as simple as possible.
Project Overview
Originally appointed as Central’s media relations partner, Scriba was brought on board to help the longstanding IT firm carve a voice in an overly crowded space – and give it the brand recognition it deserved.

Our support comprised press releases and thought-leadership content, but we were quickly appointed as the company’s entire bolt-on marketing department – delivering a holistic content strategy for PR, the website, blog, and social media channels.
As our relationship progressed, and the company marked three decades of trading, Central decided it was time to update its website – wanting to better convey its people-first approach and strong position against larger competitors.
Taking the lead in recommending the best team for the job, we went on to work in collaboration with Central and brand consultancy The Engine Room, attending various strategic workshops to help define Central’s narrative, purpose, and subsequently, brand proposition.
We then harnessed the new tone of voice guidance and messaging framework to draft website content that had depth and soul.
