It’s been a whirlwind couple of weeks since I started at Scriba HQ as their new account manager!
During my interview for the position, Katie emphasised that the new recruit would need to hit the ground running, so I’ve been doing just that.
As is the case with any new role, there’s a whole new team, clients and the office to get accustomed to, along with the actual job at hand. Thankfully, the Scriba team has been very welcoming and helpful in getting me up to speed with the work I’ve taken on. The lovely staff at the Heritage Exchange office space have been similarly accommodating, and the clients I’ve met and spoken to so far have really helped me to settle into the role.
I always tackle new challenges by getting stuck in, so I’ve been supporting the team with an array of comms tasks so far, from interviewing clients and their customers for testimonials, to drafting blogs, features and social media calendars. I’ve also been researching and securing further staff development opportunities, as we’re always on the lookout to learn something new!
Getting involved in such a variety of jobs so far has been a fantastic way of gaining insight into how the team works together, as well as getting to know the different clients I’ll be taking on.
You may have heard that we’ve been shortlisted for best B2B PR Agency in the North at the PRmoment Awards soon, so I’m really looking forward to attending my first awards ceremony with the rest of the team.
Two weeks have certainly flown by, and I’m already looking forward to what’s next!
