Scriba promotes firm’s 50th anniversary giveaway

When Passmore Group began planning a £5,000 giveaway competition to mark its 50th birthday, they were on the lookout for a PR company to maximise their returns from this local profile-raiser.

After speaking with Punch Creative, a design agency with a long standing relationship with Scriba, they got in touch.

Rebecca Silvers, Marketing Executive at Passmore Group, explains the importance she placed on finding a partner that valued a carefully co-ordinated approach:

My first impression of Scriba was that they were very thorough, with an analytical and report-driven approach to PR, which suited our needs. The way we do business resonated entirely with how Scriba operate and we instantly felt at ease with Katie’s PR expertise.

Once appointed, Scriba pursued a number of regional media opportunities including a 50th anniversary business press release, profile building Q&As with Passmore’s MD, journalist interviews and even a reflective feature on 50 years of bathroom trends for the lifestyle pages of The Yorkshire Times.

As a result, Scriba successfully raised the profile of Passmore Group. Rebecca’s initial target for the bathroom giveaway was 300 competition entries, however, thanks to coverage achieved in the press and the buzz created on social media, they received over 840 entries. The figure surpassed all expectations and introduced many new contacts for use in future marketing.

Thanks to the help of Scriba, whose PR activity hit a readership of 2,470,471 between March and May 2015, Passmore Group was able to beat its yearly targets, with a 50% increase in sales enquiries, which added up to a very successful financial year indeed.

Rebecca says:

The overall campaign, in which PR played a key role, without a doubt raised the profile of our business and heritage. Scriba were an absolute pleasure to deal with and will be our only port of call for any future PR requirements.
