Huddersfield-based Scriba PR – a copywriting and public relations consultancy specialising in technical B2B briefs – has been appointed as the communications partner for a new event.
TechTrade Yorkshire (TY16)is a free one day conference and exhibition designed specifically for Yorkshire’s IT professionals. Taking place on 8 September, at Elland Road Leeds, it will welcome around 50 exhibitors from the world of technology, with The Intellectual Property Office, Media Yorkshire, Blue Logic and Manchester-headquartered Godel Technologies among the names already confirmed.
A jam-packed seminar programme will run alongside, with a number of high profile speakers in the line up. Microsoft’s James Akrigg, Head of Technology for Partners, will take to the stage for example, to advise how organisations can use technology – and people – to drive innovation and transformation. Big data, cybercrime, telecoms and cloud computing are also high on the agenda of topics, thanks to additional speakers including Vince Sparks, IT Director of Eddie Stobart; David Warburton-Broadhurst, CIO of Metronet UK; Dr Adam Beaumont, CEO and Founder of AQL; Dylan Roberts, Chief Digital Officer at Leeds City Council; and Richard Carter, Chief Executive of Nostrum Group.
Commenting on the TY16 launch, Chrissie Gale, founder and managing director of event organiser Mooncas said: “Yorkshire is fast becoming renowned for its digital prowess, with some of the country’s most prolific technological talent based here in the region. This event is designed to bring that community together, to help unlock the county’s further potential for growth.
